About Us

Gerrans Bay House

Gerrans Bay House was built as a farm house on the fringe of Gerrans village in 1876 on the road to St Anthony.

As a brief description of the setting of the house and the Roseland area, we can do no better than to reprint verbatim from the 1952 holiday brochure for the Guest House as it then was:

This house is situated on high ground, 10 minutes walk from the sea, overlooking Gerrans Bay at the front and open undulating country with views to St Mawes harbour at the back.

The house is central to all the beauty spots in the lovely Roseland Peninsular. Sandy beaches, safe for bathing and isolated coves abound along the coast and can easily be reached by road or cliff path.

Added to the attraction of a beautiful coastline and country walks, is the charm of the secluded and restful Percuil River, one mile from the house, where boating, sailing and fishing can be enjoyed to the full. There is a regular daily boat ferry from Place Manor Quay to St Mawes and on to Falmouth – a delightful trip.

Gerrans Bay House

For a quiet & restful holiday in lovely surroundings with amenities to hand, the Roseland Peninsula cannot be surpassed.

We do our best to create a homely and friendly atmosphere at Gerrans Bay House and to make our visitors happy and comfortable.

Over fifty years on the above is still true, perfectly demonstrating the timeless nature of Cornwall’s Roseland Magic – a truly unspoilt area of outstanding natural beauty, largely protected by the National Trust from future development.
